Hey guys! LostInTime here! I’m back after the holidays!
Well, today I will be talking about Ninja Gaiden Series. As most
of you may already know, Ninja Gaiden is an action-adventure game that revolves
around the main character of Ryu Hayabusa, a Master Ninja from the Hayabusa
Clan.
The first game revolves around the Dark Dragon Blade, the
counterpart to the Hayabusa Clan’s Dragon Sword. Where the main baddies in the
game, raids the Hayabusa Village and this guy in a mask called Doku, kills the
Shrine Maiden Kureha and takes the Dark Dragon Blade with him. And when Ryu
encounters him for the first time, Ryu lost and was cut down but was revived
later and he embarks on this journey to seek revenge.
Gameplay for this game is seen to be great, since it was first
released on an Xbox and a new revamp/updated version was released in 2007 for
the Playstation 3. Additions were made in the re-release with new weapons and
more magical spells! The game really gets you thinking with the various weapons
as they each have their own strengths and weaknesses and different situation
calls for different weapons.
The game say Ryu starting out as a ‘weak’ character, but as the
game progresses, the player may upgrade Ryu and his weapons and the next thing
you know, he is this Godly ninja and goes around kill evil ninjas and even
demons!
I would say, playing this originally on the Xbox system when I was
much younger, made me really excited each time I played the game and I would
stay up late just to slay demons and baddies. Seeing them getting torn apart (I
mean, you literally tear you foes apart limb from limb) by yourself is just a
wonderful feeling.
